Trimester 3, Blog 9 (due 5/17 at midnight for EXTRA CREDIT)
Being potentially your last BLOG of the year (and your careers), you should think of this entry as your “AP SENIOR WILLS.” Now, you’re used to willing your ability to get the best parking spot, finagle your way out of tardies, and attend all three lunches; however, for this entry, think back to all you had to endure and overcome in AP ENGLISH. Think of all your abilities that you could bequeath to a lesser individual. Think of all you had to suffer through with your two instructors and the tools necessary to survive the bright colors and megaphone voice. Most of all, enjoy this entry as you think about all that you’ve accomplished in this class, and enjoy “willing” to all those “lesser” individuals out there.

First of all, I am curious as to who my other instructor is; and I am wondering what "bright colors and megaphone voice" refer to.
Anyways...My wills are as follows.
To the future generation of AP English Students I will the ability to argue like there's no tomorrow.
I also will the ability to love Nabokov over Perrine.
I will the ability to understand and use big words.
I will the ability to always remember to complete the blogs.
I will the ability to understand argument in all its forms.
I will the ability to find humor in the daily grind of AP work.
And lastly, I will the ability to be right to one special student...a female to take my place as Miss Right. GOOD LUCK!!
Elysia Smith
I will the future class the ability to:
+stick it out during the poem analysis- it only gets easier
+plan out their papers so they are not writing everything the night before they are due
+participate in classroom discussions- you learn more
+to have a lot of fun... its your senior year!!
I, too, am curious to know who this other instructor is and what the bright colors and megaphone voice have to do with anything. Moving on...
I,on Sunday, May 17, 2009, by writing this blog, hereby declare my will and testimony to future AP English students. I will you...
The ability to suck it up and do your CRJs anyway, even when you really don't want to. Trust me, you will regret not doing them during the next day's discussion.
The ability to speak your mind in said discussions. Don't be afraid to speak up.
The ability to get a head start on the causal essay. Again, you'll regret it later if you don't.
The ability to admit the fact you were totally off when Stump told you that poem we read was about a sunset.
I will Elysia the ability to always be right.
I will my second tri's class the ability to not take the Hamlet trial so seriously.
I will Stump the ability to make me yummy treats down in Bloomington. (Sorry, Miss Stump,I had to sneak that in somewhere.)
To the future on-takers of AP English, I will you:
-The ability to do all your CRJs, whether or not it answers the question directly
-The ability to participate in all class discussions, whether your answers comply with or completely digress from the intended replies
-The ability to have confidence enough in yourself to do all assignments as you see best fit; don't worry about how your style differs from the rest of the class
-The ability to stay focused during the last six weeks and maintain quality work
-The ability to finish what you start and never second guess yourself
-Also, the ability to enjoy any and every "field trip" you receive, whether to Chicago or downtown Nappanee, the experience always brightens the day
